On 5 March 2024, one of the YFTAs, Simon Guerin Sanz, had the chance to discuss the future of sustainable trade at a joint event by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Make Agricultural Trade Sustainable (MATS) and the UK Trade, Development and the Environment Hub (TRADEHub).

A YOUNG FAIR TRADE ADVOCATE KEEPING TRACK OF YOUTH INVOLVEMENT AT AU-EU SUMMIT
The Heads of State and Government of the Member States of the African Union (AU) and the European Union (EU) met on 17–18 February 2022 to develop a renewed Partnership for solidarity, security, peace and sustainable and sustained economic development. For a more inclusive and representative Partnership, AU and EU institutions need to meaningfully include young people.
YOUNG FAIR TRADE ADVOCATE JOINS “AFRICA-EUROPE WEEK” EVENT
European leaders and African Union Member States met in Brussels for the 6th European Union – African Union summit on 17 and 18 February 2022. In the run-up to the summit, the 1st edition of the Africa-Europe week brought together young people, civil society organizations and the private sector from Africa and Europe to discuss the aspects of the Africa-EU Partnership that matter to them the most.
