YFTAS ROUNDTABLES: DECODING EU INFLUENCERS

The YFTAs launched a series of webinars from September to December 2023, with different EU influencers: EU Activists, EU Policy Makers, EU NGOs and EU Journalists.

The objective of these roundtables was to collect diverse perspectives from EU influencers to advance different demands within the EU context: 

What are the different barriers, challenges, solutions and/or key leverage points that the influential people at EU level use to get their demands through? 

Through these roundtables, the we’ve learned from EU influencers about effective advocacy strategies, building alliances, engaging with policymakers, leveraging public opinion, and utilising social and traditional media to advance their agendas. 

To summarise, we received direct insights from the insiders themselves which will ensure that the Young Fair Trade Advocates’ approach to policy advocacy is well-informed, targeted, and aligned with the realities of the policy-making process.
